Increase in Turnaround Port calls

The Port of Bergen has had 58 turnaround port calls this year. The port is actively working to attract more turnaround port calls to the city, and the trend is on the rise
The Port of Bergen
began offering turnaround services for cruise ships in 2015. A turnaround port call means that the cruise either starts or ends in Bergen. This, in turn, means that the ships stay here for a longer duration, cruise tourists often stay overnight in hotels, and they spend more money in the city.
In the years following 2015, we have seen an increase of ten such calls per year. Next year, we expect to have at least 67 of these turnaround port calls.
We are actively collaborating with the cruise industry to attract more turnaround port calls to the city.
